Outcry over badge atrocity bent on camera Video Clips. 5.67 Mins.
Denver police officers were caught on video tackling and beating a 23-year-old man who was doing nothing but talking on a telephone. The mayor and city officials are deeply divided and concerned over the incident and debating the punishment for the police officer. George Hemminger of Survive and Thrive TV said in this case the individual was lucky the incident was caught on video, because when there are not cameras around it is hard to prove what actually takes place. Hemminger said it is a travesty that the officers have not been fired. So far they have only experienced a reduction in pay. In order to inspire change in policing practices the media needs to cover the issue of police brutality more and bring the issue to the public's attention, argued Hemminger.

When camera-phones were first launched the digital camera commerce was not at all concerned, claiming they would never catch on and never rival their sales. This reliance was shattered when camera-phones took 90% of the market. The world's first camera-phone was launched in 2000. By 2003, more camera-phones were sold globally than all stand-alone digital cameras. By the next year, camera-phones alone outsold all types of stand-alone cameras (digital and film-based). Today camera-phones outsell stand-alone cameras by 10 to 1.
In hindsight, it should have been clear from the outset, the huge consumer uptake. Mobile phones are everywhere, portable, favorable and always on you, it just makes sense.
Camera Case
At the starting the camera-phones had a few issues, like low mega-pixels and only being able to send it as an Mms. But as these problems were overcome, there was nothing standing in the way, and the whole mass store shifted.
So as Mobile banking and m-commerce are starting to take off, statistics like this are very promising.
The camera-phone can be taken as a case study, as the introductory problems are very similar. Mobile payments had to compete with Psms, which has dominated the store for so long. This side of the store is now changing.
Then there is consumer reliance and firm confidence. The consumers, although there are concerns of fraud, are changing their opinions, with Mobile payments proving its worth in African countries and India. The lack of firm reliance is gradually changing with the likes of Bank of America getting complex and testing out Nfc. It won't be long until firm can see all the benefits Mobile payments have to offer. Laurie Readhead, Bank of America's head of electronic commerce, said "we see this as a valuable capability given the increasing acceptance and adoption of bank services on the phone. It's a way to accelerate Mobile contactless payments in the U.S. Market."
Just like the camera-phone, once these introductory issues are ironed out, Mobile payments and banking will be able to take the large chunk of the store it deserves.

My trusty Harbor Freight vise (Item #5655) finally broke due to a poor design and use of cast iron instead of steel. The achilles heel is the cast iron end cap. In this video, I attempt a weld repair on the broken cast iron part using stainless filler rod. Partly to avoid throwing it in the landfill, but mostly to see if I could actually pull off a repair. Worst case, I have one more part to weld to my "wall of fail." Harbor Freight now has a new item (#67415) which replaced the model I had, 5655. If you've got the new one, take the end cap off and let me know if they fixed the design! Sorry for the poor audio quality and mumbling. I really should work on speaking louder when I'm not near the camera. Welder: Miller Syncrowave 250
Uladhal is a thrilling - adventurous comedy about the journey of a shield (Dhaal) created in 1758 by a Great Maratha Emperor. The creation of this shied was in the honor of the noteworthy sacrifice made by a brave warrior named Somajirao. He took the blow of a spear heading towards the king during a battle and thus saved the king's life. He shielded the king from a bunch of enemies just as a powerful shield would do. Hence, as a gesture of appreciation, the king honors Somajirao by awarding him a precious shield (Dhaal). Generation after generation, Somajirao's family believes that the protection of this shield is their prime responsibility. During the course of time, countless opponents plot to steal this shield, but all their efforts prove unrewarding. However, Sayajirao, the youngest ruler of the family mistakenly misplaces the shield and eventually loses it. Will Sayajirao let this prestigious and honourable shield go away so easily?
